Honest Progress is crucial. If you are not competent in a fight, like in Boss 1 and have seen Boss 2, putting yourself as Boss 2 will not grant you privilege to further progress. We track progress mainly to cater for players at different prog points in the raid.
Pings will only be issued to those who registered for the Role
To avoid using @here or @everyone, and harassing the peace of other community members, Moderators will only use @Boss1, and @Boss4 ping appropriately for the run. Here in the example given, you'll see the following detail laid out for you.
Date and Time. We are using the Unix Time widget where what you see is what you get. No need for time conversion. If you miss the raid, you missed your chance for that day and try again when the next raid is available.
Progress. We take this seriously especially when you've come to Boss 3 fights. Stating the correct progress level honestly (and I mean honestly. Be warned, there are Moderators with insane memory of the community).
Sign-up link <-- detailed breakdown of how the sign-up form is. A Google form is prepared to help us compile information on the sign-up, as well as accept players on a First Come First Serve basis. That is why with an honest progress level, you'll be granted the privileges' to join in the run.
Spreadsheet display. The spreadsheet comprises two sections: - the queue/reserve list and the team assignment. If we need backups, this is where we'll look to get a replacement.
FAQ: Psst, it is just a game, why are you taking progress level so seriously! I did not sign up for a static.
We have a firm guideline primarily to cater to players at different progress levels. Although you could be a veteran in raiding Savage-tier or Ultimate-tier, you are still assessed by how proficient you are in each boss fight. To read up more on the guideline, go read this page.
Signing up for a run doesn't mean you will be selected. The organizer will announce confirmation of the run when all Moderators can contribute their views on what the line up per team is like.
Until this is officially announced, information seen on the spreadsheet may change. This also includes re-assigning members to other roles.
The organizer will allocate which role you are in based on the Job that you signed up as. Each team will have at least 1 Melee, 1 Caster and 1 Ranged. The last DPS slot is known as a Flex DPS. Members in this slot should bring 2 DPS Lost Actions.
The title of the fight is listed at the top. All members must follow the assignments strictly. If anyone needs clarification, please ask a Moderator in the run. There will at least be 1 Moderator per side (Slimes and Golems)
Each Trash and Boss fight may have unique responsibilities or Lost Action assigned here in the sheets, please follow what has been prepared.
Read more on raid assignments.
You might have cleared Delubrum Reginae with or without any Lost Actions and that can be easily achieved. However, in DR (Savage), Lost Actions become an essential part of clearing the fight. Aside from room assignments, different phase of the fight may require additional Lost Actions.
Here, you will see that Ranged player of a team is given Lost Perception. Dying in DRS is punishing to yourself, the entire alliance and the healer attempting to raise you. Additional Task(s) are also very clearly stated here.
Lost Dervish (Ranged) - grants a buff for 30s to reduce GCD timer as well as critical hit rate buff and damage up. If a Team has 2 Ranged, the Ranged assigned with Dervish uses it first, followed by the 2nd Ranged.
Lost Cure IV (Caster + Elder Essence) - grants a 60s of Bravery that has higher potency than the single target and last longer for damage up. Since this uses Lost Cure IV, we do not need two Casters bringing Lost Cure IV. If a Team has 2 Casters, the Flex DPS will bring 2 DPS related Lost Actions instead.
Lost Spellforge / Steelsting (Healers) - This is a huge must when you finally get your first kill on Boss #1. In Savage for Boss #2, not having these buff it will significantly reduce your overall damage. If you don't meet the DPS check, it'll be enrage.
Lost Rend Armor (Two Melees) - Rend Armor works exactly like Trick Attack. Since Rend Armor cannot have multiple stacks, we assign only 2 Melees to bring Rend Armor. They will each rotate on using Rend Armor.
Lost Flare Star (BLM) - Due to the heavy MP consumption of this ability, it's ideal for a BLM to use it. In this case, the assigned Flare Star mages do not need to bring Cure IV, so the second slot can be used for a DPS buff to enhance Flare Star's damage further.
Lost Perception - Beyond Boss #1, there are traps to detect. So players assigned are listed down as well.
Once you have set aside all the alarms or reminders on your calendar, now is time to wait for the announcement of the Party Finder 1 hour before the commencement of the raid. To prevent random public players from joining, the PF will always be given a PIN. In order to obtain the PIN, you have to go into our Discord channel: #party-status, where a Moderator in that run will host the Alliances. Before joining the PF, do confirm the following:
Which team you are assigned to
There may be changes due to drop-outs and re-shuffling to bring in the reserve. Most of the time the organizer will inform you ahead, but if they overlooked the step, you could be in a different team. (We apologize if this happened)
What role/job you're assigned as
DPS are situational like some Ranged or Caster have a party utility to bring along.
PIN for the PF
This is obtained in #party-status
Now, this is very important, 15 minutes before the raid starts, if you do not reply the Moderator's ping - you will be removed from the line up. If you need to join 5 minutes before the raid, inform the Moderators via @Hrothbot so we will not release your slot. (FAQ)
Slots may be available on the day itself. If the slots are available during the PF we will contact players via the #reserve-ping channel. We also use this channel to specifically ping the tardy players. If the assigned player does not respond, the members in the Reserve List will be notified by the Organizer. So, unselected players should stay alert when the reserves are notified to go for the run.
We have Hrothbot, a multi-functional bot that can be used as a platform to communicate to the Mod team. Instead of DMing a single moderator, using Hrothbot can speed up the reply. Questions, any inquiries or even letting us know you can/cannot make it for a scheduled run, so on, should go through Hrothbot. So check out a quick guide to using Hrothbot.
