Ladies and Gentlemen, we seek your cooperation when signing up for a raid. Over the months of trial and error, we have modified and updated the sign-up form to what it is today. There are some things that we truly appreciate taking note of. Let us begin.
This is the date and time hosted on the raid. If you are bad with timezone and math, just look at our #schedule channel. We are using a Unix Timestamp widget so you do not need to calculate.
We have tons of guides and videos explanation of boss fights. If you like to have more hands-on practice for each day, do prepare yourself ahead of time. Of course, any questions feel free to ask the Mods in the run.
Who likes a latecomer, right? If you're uncontactable, the organizer will remove you, since you have agreed to this condition. Once your slot is taken out from the roster, you have been forfeited for that raid.
FYI, if you join while a moderator is looking for a replacement, the host of the PF will remove you.
But what if you have a legitimate reason for being late? Well, that is what Hrothbot is for. Use Hrothbot to contact the organizer(s), and inform them ahead of your tardiness. We understand that every person has different social responsibilities or emergencies. Organizer(s) may offer alternate solutions to assist you. If you are unable to make it and you are sure about it, use Hrothbot still and keep us updated.
Fill up your IGN or alt. If you're going as your alt, please leave a remark so we'll know.
Do not: put your World unless you are certain there are tons of doppelgangers in other worlds.
Playable Job(s) will be listed here. In this case, when I put "Any", I am telling the organizer I can go as all Healer Jobs proficiently. Only list down the Jobs you are comfortable with.
Examples of how you can fill in your playable class:
SGE/WHM/AST
DRK/RPR
Melees/RDM/WHM
Keep this short and simple, it will help with organizing.
Do not! Give us an entire sentence to read. Instead, give us something short and simple. For example GNB/PLD/DRK/DRG/SAM. Only choose Jobs that you most comfortable with.
To further simplify it, Tank/DRG/SAM. Melees are treated the same, DRG are awesome with raid utility buffs unlike the -ahem- selfish SAM
Myd's tip: Sign up with 2 Jobs of different roles that you are most comfortable with. For example, WAR/SAM. Yes, you may be proficient with other tanks too but just keep the sign-up clean so it will be easier for the organizer to decide.
Please avoid typing out an entire sentence.
Why is this portion important?
Slimes and Golems trash are completely different. Having to see Boss 1 means you are proficient in the first Trash instance. We have a separate guide on Slimes and Golems so do check it out.
What this means:
Fresh practice - for people who never experienced Slimes or Golems before
Slimes (Tank / Healer) - this is related to the green slime feeding and only applicable to Tank and Healer
Slimes all good - knows how to handle all the mechanics in Slimes arena.
Golems (Tank / Healer) - this is related to how each unique Golems are and how to manage the individual mechanics. Only applicable to Tank and Healer
Golems all good - knows how to handle all the mechanics in the Golems arena.
Both all good - experienced in handling both arenas.
Myd's tip: If you are proficient in both Slimes and Golems, it will be easier to assign you to teams. If you are proficient on only one side, you can be skipped over because there is someone who fits into the team nicely.
We are a PUG community and hosting runs for everyone. We know each player has a different learning experience in the fight. Thus to be fair for members in Boss 3 and beyond, we have to filter members based on their progress level. We have a guideline on how this progress is handled, so it'll be good if you can take a look at the link below.
If you like to sign up for 1v1, this is where you should fill up. For Fresh, we'll let anyone keen to give it a shot. Once players progress into Boss 3 and beyond, we only take proficient players as the 1v1 buff can carry the fight.
Flare Casters? We prefer to have a BLM do this role. Whilst Lost Flare Star works for all Casters, consuming 9000 MP is too harsh on your MP management.
Myd's tip: You wanna get a slightly better chance of being selected? Sign up as a BLM flare mage! We prefer to assign BLM who are proficient in both Lost Actions and survivability.
Yes, we accept group sign-ups; FC, or friends.
If it is a friend group, use only one leader's IGN.
Do not:
Player A --put--> Player B.
Player B --put--> Player C.
Player C --put--> Player D
Player D signed up alone.
The reason for putting a single name is for us to perform a filter. By using a filter, we can quickly identify who we should group up.
Myd's tip: A party composition is, 2T2H, 1 Melee, 1 Ranged, 1 Caster, 1 Flex-DPS. If the group has 2 Tanks, 3 Healers, and 3 Melees, the organizer(s) will have to split the members into different teams.
Honours are awesome to have! DRS is a Rank 15 content and clearable before Zadnor was introduced. So it's really nice to have this but it is optional and will not taken into consideration during selection. We really look at the progress level more.
Finally, we have the option if you would like to sign up as a priority member or as a reserve. Reserve players will not be selected in the first round but they serve as a backup if members could not make it.
We have veterans who often sign up as reserves to help fill the numbers if there is backup needed.
