Wait for the organizer to post the official assignment in the #schedule channel. Note: Any info seen before the published post is not official and avoid DMing @Hrothbot. In our DRS Community, we have specific allocations to players in our spreadsheet. The spreadsheet contains a detailed strategy that carries through the entire raid. Every member must check the line-ups and what mandatory Lost Actions assigned to them (if any)
A full team assignment on a spreadsheet
West Side (Slimes) Teams A, B and C are assigned to do Slimes for the first trash before Boss 1.
All fields are locked and only moderators may fill up.
Trash (Header) - refers to the player's understanding of either Slimes or Golems trash fight.
In PF checkboxes and green highlight - attendance taking. Members late or uncontactable will be removed from the spreadsheet.
15 minutes before the scheduled raid time, organizers will remove the names from the Team allocation.
You are late and did not inform the organizer through @Hrothbot of your tardiness. Once removed, you will not be allowed to join and have been forfeited. At this point, the organizers would have pinged for a reserve to take your slot. Should you join the Team during the reserve ping, you will be removed.
MT, ST, H1, D1, D4, etc. - Every member is assigned accordingly. (Similar to your macro). Each member has unique allocations in the cells seen here. These cells contain Lost Action that is mandatory for the Role.
Slimes (Trash) - members are pre-assigned into a room. Notice in Team A, 4 members are assigned to South-West, and 4 members are assigned to South-East.
D3 (Ranged) - Perception assigned to this player and perception order is shown starting from SE and ending in SW. [Why this order? D3 is stationed in SW to DPS red slimes!]
Ravana and Dahu are nicknames we gave the boss fight. Boss 1 is Trinity Seeker (Ravana) and Dahu is the name of the trash after the first boss.
Only 1 Healer (Team A) brings Lost Banish
Only 2 Melees (Team A & Team D) will bring Lost Rend Armor. All other Melees do not bring Rend Armor.
All Tanks must have Aethershield in the holster (at least). Only assigned Tanks are the main Aethershield players.
All assigned Ranged must be using both Lost Dervish and Lost Dispel from Minotaur onwards. These two actions must be prepared in the Holster.
Main Tank needs to prepare Lost Perception in the Holster and a regular Antidote (item) that will be needed in the Minotaur trash fight.
Notice the allocation for Golems side, Teams D, E and F differs greatly from the Slimes counterpart. Only Tank and Healers are assigned to rooms while all DPS do not have room allocations. Golems side is like a A-rank Hunt Train, killing colored golems in a specific order. Go check out our guide.
D3 (Ranged) perception duty is similar throughout. The order of location to percept is shown clearly.
One of the Healer will be an Astrologian
One of the Ranged will be a Dancer
Dancer's partner will be the 1v1 champion
One of the Melee will be the 1v1 champion
All members are assigned to different locations. Team C players are scattered across Slimes area.
One of the Healer will be an Astrologian.
One of the Ranged will be a Dancer
Dancer's partner will always be the BLM assigned as a Flare Star
D4 is always a Black Mage with Lost Flare Star assigned
Organizers are allowed to edit the Jobs of a player based on the registration to fit the Teams. When the organizer requires an AST, the assigned player should avoid changing to any other Healer Jobs.
At the bottom of the Teams, some strategies briefly explain certain order or priorities. All players must check the assignments before the raid. Moderators will further explain during Fresh runs. By Boss 3 progress, all players should understand the allocation.
Chain Stratagem is a raid debuff that increases critical rates and every member benefits from it. Healers who apply to be a Scholar must adhere to this order strictly.
Right when the tank pulls the boss, use this GCD quickly. Avoid following the Scholar's opener. The boss' debuff list has a limit to how many can be seen. That is why the very first skill to use at the opener is Chain Stratagem - which reserves a slot in the debuff allowing all the other Scholars to observe the countdown.
If your name is not in the Chain Order, that's because the organizer did not specify it yet. On raid day, inform any Moderator in PF or through @Hrothbot, that you wish to play as a Scholar. This will have the Chain Order updated and your name will be reflected accordingly. Just remember to avoid repeating Jobs as a Healer.
We totally understand that 4th Scholar using Chain Stratagem can be a nightmare. Unfortunately, there's no easier way to remember when to use it, just you will have to start counting. Once your Chain Stratagem is ready to use, just use it straight away. The timing lines up nicely for the next player.
This is to benefit all players regardless of their DPS window. Since Chain Stratagem cannot stack, it will be replaced by another player, we prepared a table to allow the maximum duration of the debuff applied by multiple scholars.
1v1 Sign-up players will be listed down here. Order of priority of attempts should we kill Boss 1, will also be listed down.
Flare Star - Only one member is assigned to do this (Team F - BLM)
Rend Armor - 1st and 2nd. Lost Rend Armor is a debuff that overwrites when another Melee uses it. To maximize the debuff duration, the first and second melee are assigned here. Macro is available to let the other Melee know when to use Lost Rend Armor.
Banish III - Lost Banish III is only assigned to one Healer. This skill is mandatory for a Trash fight.
Perception Duties, post Boss fight:
From Boss 1 to Boss 2: traps need to be scanned.
From Boss 2 to Boss 3: there are more traps to be scanned, including 2 important traps to locate. (read more in FAQ)
After 3rd Boss: The members scanning for traps are the Main Tanks.
This is a lengthy section describing all the Tanks with assigned duties in different segments of the fight.
In this instance, there are several Tank Buster that can reduce a Tank's HP to 1. Unfortunately, the interval between such attacks is too short for the same Tank to use immunity. We assign different Tanks to pick up the adds and pop their immunity accordingly.
Minotaur is a "secret Trash" before encountering Boss 4. By killing Minotaur, The Queen will lose certain buffs, allowing us to kill her. Allocation to Minotaur adds, and Boss 4 Tank swap are also listed together in this area.
