Welcome, welcome and welcome to the third boss encounter of this content. If you're reading ahead of time, that's great too! Boss 3, aka KP (feel free to ask what's with the KP abbrv in our Discord channels), has a lot of personal mechanics that you'll need to identify on your own and do the necessary calculation. Callouts can serve as a reminder of the timeline of mechanics only. So let us take a look at the way how KP fight is like.
The order of the mechanics are split up into the different Weapon Phases, and we identify them with the following weapons: Staff, Bow and Sword. This fight is completely based on RNG; that means in the following mechanic listed may not be the same in your fight against this boss.
At the end of any weapon phase, all players must neutralize their temperature. Failing to neutralize it will be death.
Callout: Shared tank buster. Tanks use mitigations and stack.
All Tanks assigned with Aethershield must use this Lost Action.
Any Tank whom fails to use Aethersheild may cause a party wipe. This defensive mitigation is compulsory.
The raidwide always inflicts a potentially spicy bleed. Healers maintain healing. The potency of the bleed is affected by how hard the raidwide initial hit. If players are hit hard by the raidwide, the bleed's potency is high.
Pre-shield, Aethershield, Addle, Feint, Reprisal or ranged defensive buff should be used here.
Callout: Raidwide, shield, mitigation and heals.
The weapons are completely at random, take note of each weapon dodges in the example below.
1st Weapon: Sword
Callout: Sword, get in front of the boss
2nd Weapon: Staff
Callout: Staff, away from the boss
3rd Weapon: Bow
Callout: Last is Bow, get behind the boss.
Callout: The order of mechanic will be Bow, Sword, Staff.
At this point, the introduction of mechanics will end and begin the first weapon phase. There will be maximum of 6 weapon phases before the boss uses an enrage. With a decent DPS output, it is possible to kill the boss on the 5th weapon phase.

Callout: Staff, get away from the boss. At this point no raising.
Callout: Quick March, watch your direction
Callout: Hot and cold, check your temperature. Face your character to the correct meteor.
4 proximity orbs will land in the inter-cardinals of the arena, creating no safe spot. Due to this mechanic, all player will be hit by a temperature.
Any player raised via Lost Arise or Reraiser, may survive the blast, however, with a temperature applied, it will eventually kill them again. That is why shotcaller will mention to stop raising.
Players must Quick March to walk their character into the appropriate meteor to resolve the mechanic
Callout: Stay in the middle. Healers keep HP high. Face your character towards your meteor.
Callout: Raidwide, heal shields mitigate.
An example on how Staff Phase look like. Resolve temperatures accordingly.
Video POV of Staff mechanic.
Since we are starting with Bow for this guide, let us look at the order of mechanics in the Bow Phase
All players will be given 1 out of 4 possible arrow directions. To resolve this, players must be aware of their bearing. Forced March will walk the direction based on where your character is facing.
Read below on understanding how Forced March resolve.
Callout: Forced march, check your arrow
All Tank Busters must be faced away from the party and all other tanks must stack to soak the damage.
Callout: Shared Tank buster.
Flames will spawn either B (West) or D (East).
All players must face their correct direction, arrow pointing away from the Flames.
An animation can be seen on B or D, so make sure your character walks away from it.
Callout: Flame is at B/D, walk towards D/B in 3, 2, 1..
All players will receive only one temperature out of 4 combinations: +1 Hot, +2 Hot, -1 Cold, -2 Cold.
All players must be shot by an arrow to neutralize their current temperature.
If Player A has +2 Hot, that player must be shot by a -2 Cold Arrow.
Callout: Hot and Cold, watch your temperature.
It will spawn the pattern of the ladder, and the position of the arrows along with the temperature per arrow set.
Players must match the counter temperature to neutralize their Interment temperature (or body temperature).
Callout: Normal / Inverted Ladder. (Macro will be used). Find your safe square.
Callout: Heal up, shield up, raidwide.
Player's bearing is important. The Quick March icon will always walk on the cardinal of the player
Quick March always cover 2 squares. Sprinting will run 2.5 squares.
All players must be mindful on how they rotate their avatar such that they will not walk into Flames or the edges.
1st Row is where an arrow of a certain temperature may appear. (RNG)
2nd Row is where each player will stand to resolve the temperature.
One square will not have any arrow. If players are raised without a temperature, they must stand in that square.
Any player receives a temperature at the end of the mechanic will die.
Video POV of Bow mechanic.
Callout: Sword, stand in front of the boss
Callout: Hot and cold, watch your temperature
Three clones will spawn in on the map.
Each clone will have a sword of a certain temperature.
There is always 1 spot that will never get slashed. Shotcaller will only call this spot.
All players will have to resolve their own temperature.
All inter-cardinal of the called safe spot are danger locations. Anyone standing in this area will die.
There will always be two slashes for Sword phase.
Callout: Safe is at <number>. 2nd slash, safe is at <number>.
Callout: Heal, shield, mitigate.
Don't let this short mechanic fool you. Most deaths happen in this phase.
Take this for example. When 4 is called to be safe, only the cardinals of that Waymark has a single temperature.
With waymark 4 as the safe square to be on, these crossed out squares are unsafe. Any player in these squares will die to the following:
Receives Magic Vulnerability debuff
Second sword slash will deal maximum damage, instant KO on that player.
This is based on the POV of each player resolving this mechanic.
Identify the clone or boss with the correct Sword Temperature.
Stand on the cardinal of the safe spot. Ensuring the sword length is at its longest.
The boss always go between waymark 2 and 4. The other 3 are clones.

Elemental Brand is a mechanic that is a debuff with a countdown timer. At the end of its duration, Elemental Brand will apply it's temperature on the player, causing them to receive either a new temperature. To resolve this successfully, all players must calculate their total body temperature and identify which temperature mechanic to be hit by. They must have an excess of temperature opposite of the Elemental Brand. Confused? Here are what you should recognize on your debuff icons:
At the of the Elemental Brand timer, it will apply a new temperature to the player. If Player A has +2 Hot Elemental Brand, that player must have -2 Cold body temperature.
At the end of Elemental Brand, +2 Hot is applied, causing the temperature to be neutralized.
Elemental Brand can be identified with a thermometer bulb and a countdown timer.
Body Temperature can be identified with a silhouette of a body and no timer.
Callout: Staff, get away from the boss. Do no raise anyone.
Callout: Hot and cold, watch your temperature.
Callout: Elemental Brand, calculate your final temperature.
Callout: Unseen Eyes. There will only be one safe square.
Callout: Flames of Bozja. Identify your correct meteor and stand in the square (that does not have Clones)
Note: There is no Quick March so you can sprint to your safe spot.
Callout: Heal, shield, mitigate.
Video POV of Staff mechanic with Elemental Brand.
Regardless what are the previous phase, KP will move to the middle for Bow. Players can pre-position ahead of time.
Callout: Bow, get behind her.
Similar to normal, clones will spawn along the edges, throwing out column attacks.
Identify any square that has no clones Line of Sight of it.
Callout: Unseen Eye, identify any safe square in it and stay still.
Callout: Run towards B/D. Pop sprint if needed.
It is possible to reach to the safe lane even if you're nearest to the Flame.
Callout: Hot and cold, watch your temperature.
Callout: Elemental brand, calculate your final temperature.
Callout: Quick march, look at your direction.
-ahem- Good luck! This is a combo of mechanics to take it.
You have enough time to make all the calculation you need before the arrows appear.
Note: It is possible to be shot by 0 arrow. If you're lucky to get such combination.
Callout: Identify your arrows, walk to your safe square in 3, 2, 1..
Callout: Heals, shield, mitigate. MT face boss away from party.
Callout: Shared tank buster. Use cooldowns.
The boss always go into the middle square in the safe lane.
Never greed dps here. Tilting your character can cause you to walk into the edge or Flame.
You have plenty of time to calculate your temperature when Elemental Brand is casted.
Some players may have a combination that require them to be hit by no arrow. Any players without temperature should also be in this square.
Note: The direction was intentionally flip to explain where the player is facing and the direction they will walk towards.
The player needs to be hit by +1 hot to receive a body temperature of +2 heat.
-2 cold Elemental Brand will resolve, setting the player's temperature to neutral.
Position, facing direction to solve the various combinations.
Video POV of Bow mechanic with Elemental Brand.
Callout: Face the boss towards party. Sword, get in front of boss.
Callout: Hot and cold, watch your temperature.
Note: It is possible to get temperatures at 3 and 4, hot or cold. When this happen, you must be slashed twice.
Callout: Elemental Brand, calculate your final temperature. You may need to get slashed twice.
Callout: Hold your DPS burst. (Two safe squares callouts)
Note: In this example, squares highlighted in yellow are safe locations. Player should use these callout to identify where is safe, followed by identifying where the appropriate clone is slashing.
If calculation using Math is comfortable for you; if your total temperature is +1, you should be slashed by -1.
If using debuff icon to match; resolve your body temperature first. Followed by matching the Elemental Brand's opposite temperature. You will end with sufficient body temperature.
